چکیده
This paper presents a new parallel mesh generation method leading to subdomains of shape well-suited Schur based domain decomposition methods such as the FETI and BDD solvers. Starting from coarse mesh, meshes are created in through hierarchical refinement morphing techniques. The proposed methodology aims at limiting occurrence known pathological situations (jagged interfaces, misplaced heterogeneity with respect …) that penalize convergence solver. Furthermore, it enables distribute parallelize step early phases whole analysis. Besides its good behavior towards convergence, is thus distributed. assessed, on several academical industrial test cases, for both efficiency when creating capability generate resulting less iterations.

Parallel Dynamic Mesh Generation and Domain Decomposition
The mapping of computations to parallel machines can be realized at the various data structures associated with the computations. In the case of PDE (Partial Differential Equations) based applications, we decided to fonnulate this problem at the discrete data structures of the underlying computation [Chri 91]. In this paper, we fonnulate and implement parallel mapping algorithms on distributed ...
متن کاملMDEC: MeTiS-based Domain Decomposition for Parallel 2D Mesh Generation
Domain decomposition methods are commonly employed within the context of parallel numerical algorithms. Most often, the domain decomposition is performed before the main computation begins. Within the context of mesh generation, parallel mesh generation is desired when the goal is to mesh a very large geometric domain or if very high accuracy is required. In this paper, we propose a novel techn...
متن کاملSubstructuring domain decomposition scheme for unsteady problems
Domain decomposition methods are used for approximate solving boundary problems for partial differential equations on parallel computing systems. Specific features of unsteady problems are taken into account in the most complete way in iteration-free schemes of domain decomposition. Regionally-additive schemes are based on different classes of splitting schemes. In this paper we highlight a cla...
